Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your interest in music lessons by DrDiana. As an educator of music teachers, as well as an active Bible-believing Christian, my purpose is to share a love of music and community by organizing interactive group classes at different locations, as I’ve recently moved from Mandeville to Kingston.
Group classes are more affordable than individual instruction, and I use a “no student left behind” policy to ensure that everyone has a positive learning experience. If you are able to host a class, I would need to see your facilities to determine the number of participants that could work interactively, normally between 6 to 20 persons, depending on the setting. The cost to participants is J$40,000 each for a 10-week class and final performance.
Ideally, music students should have their own instrument so that they can practice daily, but it may be possible for them to borrow or rent an instrument. The 10 session course would end with a programme so that students could perform together, in groups and individually. Performance is an important part of musical development as participants can share and celebrate their accomplishments. Current offerings include:
- Piano Keyboard Class – includes improvisation, technique, theory and composition
- children (6-16)
- adults (17 -59) or
- seniors (60+)
.
Please indicate your interest in further classes:
- Music theory Class – for those who are interested in passing the ABRSM Examinations or preparing for formal music studies.
- Group Voice lessons – vocal exploration, singing technique, song writing, memorization, singing at sight.
Collaborative work, often modelled in church music settings, are encouraged and I am crafting further projects that offer beneficial outcomes for any organization and it’s stakeholders. I would love to discuss some of the potential projects with you as they impact not only the Christian Community in Kingston, but the wider audience across our island and beyond.
